Melinda, a Dallas native, grew up in the White Rock Lake area. Melinda found her footing in real estate back in the early 70’s working at a commercial real estate research and reporting firm. After marrying and having a daughter, she managed her father-in-law’s business known as Campbell-Rogers Office Supplies located on the corner of Maple and McKinney Ave. for approximately eight years.

Melinda started her residential real estate career in 2001, remarried, and soon brought her husband, Craig Laughlin, in as a partner; The Laughlin Realty Group was then born! Melinda and Craig have always hung their licenses with the Keller Williams, Dallas City Center office. Craig’s daughter, Tracey Gonzales, joined the team in 2006—now we are three! “Our Family Treating You Like Family!”

Melinda also is trained and works as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children. This volunteer work allows her to be a voice for neglected and abused children. Being sworn in by a family court judge as a CASA volunteer means you have access to all CPS records, medical records, foster care information, etc. in order to aid in speaking out for the child’s best interest in court appearances and with CPS workers as well as the D.A.’s office. Melinda also loves spending time with her family and pets—2 dogs, a rabbit, and several fish!

The Laughlin Realty Group has won many awards including Most Units Sold by a Team for 2005, 2006 & 2007. Craig and Melinda also serve on the Agent Leadership Council, which consists of selected agents in the Keller Williams-Dallas City Center office invited to serve on the council based on production, leadership skills, etc.
