Lochwood

Lochwood is a neighborhood in Dallas east of White Rock lake adjacent to Lake Park Estates and Old Lake Highlands. It is sometimes referred to as Dixon Branch because of the creek by that name running through the neighborhood. Lochwood is east of Easton and west of Jupiter, south of Northwest Highway, and north of Garland Road.

The neighborhood was built starting after World War II and features many one and two story Ranch-style homes. Commercially, the area is anchored by several shopping areas, including White Rock Marketplace, formerly Lochwood Shopping Center.

The neighborhood is served by the Dallas Independent School District. Children in the neighborhood attend Martha Turner Reilly Elementary School (located within the neighborhood), Robert T. Hill Middle School, and Bryan Adams High School.

A great feature of the Lochwood neighborhood is the very active Dixon Branch Homeowners Association (DBHA), formed in 1984 with the goal "to advance and promote the economic and aesthetic growth, development and awareness of Dixon Branch; to promote the general welfare, prosperity, service and reputation of Dixon Branch to stimulate public sentiment to those ends; and to provide such service and information and to encourage such things as will or may be reasonably expected to promote those purposes."

DBHA  offers a great way to become involved in our community. Lochwood is a wonderful mix of people from original homeowners to young couples. Lochwood is an outstanding value when it comes to home prices per square foot and its proximity to White Rock Lake and other terrific neighborhood features.

Consider the Lochwood neighborhood for you next home purchase!
