Mesquite
Mesquite, once predominantly agrarian, is a sprawling suburb of Dallas now. With its easy access to many major highways, Mesquite lends itself very well to people that want a more suburban lifestyle but work in an urban setting.
Mesquite has many established neighborhoods. The recently built homes range in price from the 120's to the upper 200's.
Mesquite is home to the Mesquite Champion Rodeo and is known as the “Rodeo Capital of Texas”. Lake Ray Hubbard and Mesquite's Golf Course also are big attractions. Mesquite is a true shopping destination for North Texans. It features a historic downtown district, Town East Mall, and a four-mile span of eateries along Interstate 635.
Mesquite ISD provides primary as well as secondary education. A small portion of Mesquite is served by the Dallas ISD and another by Forney ISD.
